Lapko Alexey Grigorievich was born on 30th October 1948 in Beryozovka of Lubenskoy area. After leaving of the school has graduated school of mechanization, worked in collective farm as a machine operator, a driver. In 1967 has been called in lines of the Soviet Army, served in boundary forces. After service worked as the instructor of practical driving of a driving school in Ashkhabad ТSSR. In 1970 has moved from Lubny of the Poltava area. Two years worked as the driver of the І class on the buses. Since 1971 till June 1997 – service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the lieutenant-colonel of militia.

Has high education, has graduated KHAGI. Now works as a director of Private enterprise "Zarichya".

Since 2004 of General foremen of URC is appointed as an ataman of a shelf. Colonel of URC.

In 2007 the Separate Hetman division of especial assignment named in honour of Severin Nalivajko in Lubny of the Poltava area was presented. A.G. Lapko is elected as a commander of this division, to him is given Cossack ranks of a general-lieutenant of URC.

He is awarded with three Cossack crosses of URC (bronze, silver, gold).
