Kozlovsky Igor A. was born on February 16, 1954 in Makeyevka (Donetsk area).
He is married, has two sons - Svyatoslav (1979 year of birth) and Alexander (1984 year of birth), wife Valentina V. works as a senior scientific employee.
In 1972-1974 served in USSR KGB frontier troops in Zakavkazsky boundary district on border with Iran.
In 1980 graduated from historical faculty of Donetsk state university and received historian diploma with distinction.
In 1980-1984 had a postgraduate study in the Institute of history of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
In 1980-2001 took different occupations in Donetsk regional executive committee and then worked in Donetsk regional administration as a leading expert on affairs of religion, last years - as a chief of the regional department on religions affairs.
Since 2001 Igor A. has headed the Center of religious researches and international spiritual relations of Donetsk state institute of artificial intelligence (DonSIAI), worked as a senior lecturer of religious studies faculty of DonSIAI.
At the end of 80-th of the XX century one of the first in Ukraine began movement for revival of Cossacks and Cossack ideas. In 1991 along with adherents initiated and officially registered one of the first Cossack's organizations in Ukraine - Kalmiusska palanka under the Ukrainian Cossacks of Donetsk area in which permanently worked since 1991 till 1997 as a palanka judge and in periods as a departmental ataman of Kalmiusska palanka. He was elected to the Cossack's Council of Elders as a successor of Cossack traditions and lifelong elder. Kozlovsky I.A. comes from an ancient Cossack kin that history reaches XVI-XVII centuries. His ancestors actively participated in the historical destiny of Ukraine.
In 1997-2001 - was elected on a post of assistant to the Chief ataman of Kalmiusska palanka of the Ukrainian Cossacks on questions of religion and spirituality with a rank of colonel.
In 2001 actively participated in the process of Cossack's unification that came to end with creation of the Union of Donetsk region. I.A.Kozlovsky became the first ataman.
The Union of Donetsk Cossacks led by colonel I. Kozlovsky also became in 2002 the main nucleus for creation of the new progressive Cossack organization of Ukraine - the Ukrainian Registered Cossacks led by Hetman A.I. Shevchenko.
In 2003 general - major Kozlovsky I.A. was elected for a general URC judge and Hetman adviser on questions of the national idea development.
In February 2004 the next Cossack's military rank of general-lieutenant was given to him.
Igor A. has many awards and insignia, among them URC awards - the Bronze Cossack's Cross and the Silver Cossack's Cross, and from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kiev patriarch - award of St. Vladimir of the III degree.
